Collinsville sweeps Gaylesville in Friday basketball action

COLLINSVILLE – Colton Wills and Keaton DeBoard both delivered 17 points to help the Collinsville Panthers earn a 68-54 victory over visiting Gaylesville on Friday.

Wills sank three 3-pointers for the Panthers. He also grabbed 12 rebounds. Gavin Lang rang for 14 points, including four treys, to go along with five rebounds. Eli Griggs delivered eight points. Mason McAteer and Shaun Stewart both finished with five points. Stewart also had five boards.

Kyler Bradley collected four 3-pointers and had 24 points to lead the Trojans. Kuper Bradley also contributed four 3-pointers and finished with 19 points.

Collinsville led 21-19 at the end of the first quarter and extended its advantage to 40-26 at halftime. The Panthers held a 61-32 edge after three quarters.

In girls action, Tyla Tatum scored a game-high 27 points, including three 3-pointers, in leading the Collinsville Lady Panthers to a 68-21 girls basketball win over Gaylesville.

Sophia Wills connected on four treys and had 16 points for the Lady Panthers. Nayeli Mata managed nine points. Rylee Tillery finished with six points on a pair of treys.

Shonda Epps led the Lady Trojans with six points. Gracie Dawson and Emma Givens both finished with five points.

Collinsville claimed a 14-10 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Panthers extended their lead to 43-12 at halftime and led 58-21 after three quarters.
