Calhoun, Georgia Woman Killed in I-75 Crash

A Calhoun, Georgia woman was killed in a crash on I-75 in Wednesday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol:

At approximately 3:50am a silver Kia Forte driven by 28-year-old Haley Cunningham was traveling north on I-75 Northbound near Mile Marker 318 in Gordon County and she lost control of her vehicle and struck the center median guardrail before coming to a final rest in the center lane of I-75 northbound with her vehicle disabled facing a southwest direction.

The Kia was struck by a tractor-trailer in the center lane, ejecting Cunningham. The tractor-trailer then traveled off the east edge of the interstate, while overturning. A flatbed tractor-trailer then struck Cunningham in the right travel lane. Cunningham died at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the overturned tractor-trailer were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

I-75 northbound was shut down completely following that crash for approximately two hours and 40 minutes.

GSP has stated that these are the preliminary details and that the crash is still under investigation.
