UPDATED
Centre Police and other first responders worked a single-vehicle rollover, involving an 18 wheeler, Wednesday evening on the Bypass in Centre.
Just 11:00 that night it appears the big rig went off the roadway and overturned after hitting the soft shoulder near the Fishin’ Hole restaurant.
Fortunately, the driver (age 61 of Alexander City) was unhurt and no other vehicles were involved. The truck was reportedly hauling Honda auto parts. That stretch of roadway was blocked for an extended period of time.
The mishap remains under investigation by the Centre Police Department.
