Tatum tallies 32 points in Collinsville girls win at North Sand Mountain

HIGDON – Tyla Tatum tallied 32 points, including five 3-pointers, in leading the Collinsville Lady Panthers to a 72-65 girls basketball win at North Sand Mountain on Saturday.

For the game, the Lady Panthers connected on 11 treys.

Gracie Griggs added 12 points for Collinsville. Sophia Wills contributed 11 points. Rylee Tillery connected on three 3-pointers and had nine points. Nayeli Mata sank a pair of treys and finished with six points.

Kayden Reyes led North Sand Mountain with 28 points. Kam Patterson posted 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Ashley Shrador and Kallie Bobo both finished with eight points. Bobo had a pair of 3-pointers.

Collinsville held a 22-16 advantage at the end of the first quarter, but the Lady Bison battled back to take a 37-31 advantage at halftime. North Sand Mountain maintained a 49-43 edge at the end of three quarters before the Lady Panthers outscored them 29-16 in the fourth quarter for the final.

In boys action, North Sand Mountain claimed a 74-41 victory.

Colton Wills led the Panthers with 16 points and nine rebounds. Keaton DeBoard scored 10 points. Mason McAteer finished with six points on a pair of 3-pointers.

Chandler Sullivan topped the Bison with 23 points. Konner Brown tossed in 15 points, including three 3-pointers. Landon Keller sank a pair of treys and had eight points. Kade Davis finished with seven points.

North Sand Mountain held a 21-13 advantage at the end of the first quarter and led 42-21 at halftime. The Bison stretched their lead out to 70-30 at the end of three quarters.
