Fyffe boys connect on 14 treys to sink Collinsville, 74-63

FYFFE – The Fyffe Red Devils sank 14 3-pointers to help sink Collinsville 74-63 in area basketball on
Friday night.

Eli Carter scored a game-high 29 points, including five treys. Eli Butts rang for 14 points, including four 3-pointers. Jesse Matthews had nine points. Brodie Willoughby managed six points on a pair of treys. Carter Wilborn and Cooper Cox both finished with five points.

Colton Wills led Collinsville with 27 points, including five 3-pointers. He also had eight rebounds. Keaton DeBoard delivered 12 points, including a pair of treys. Dawson Cothran came away with 10 points. Fernando Padilla finished with eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Fyffe held a 12-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The two teams were tied at 30 at halftime. The Red Devils led 51-47 at the end of the three quarters.

In girls action, Tyla Tatum scored a game-high 20 points, but Collinsville dropped a 44-38 decision.

Sophia Wills added eight points for the Lady Panthers.

Emma Twilley rang for 19 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Teia Carroll came away with 10 points and Navaeh Smith finished with six points.

Fyffe led 10-7 after one, but Collinsville took an 18-16 lead at halftime. The Lady Panthers held a 28-24 advantage after three quarters, but Fyffe went on a 20-10 run in the fourth for the final.

Both Collinsville teams travel to Geraldine on Tuesday.
