JACKSONVILLE – Ella Garmany netted 13 points and Raechel Russell tossed in 12 points to help the Cherokee County Lady Warriors defeat Jacksonville 55-41 in area basketball action on Tuesday.
Mary Hayes Johnson added 10 points for the Lady Warriors (13-4). Nevaeh Gaidurgis netted nine points. Vivian Connell came away with eight points.
Ashley Grant led Jacksonville with 18 points. Deasia Prothro posted 10 points and Halaina Lozano finished with eight points.
Cherokee County jumped out to an 18-8 first quarter advantage. The Lady Warriors built a 32-11 edge at halftime and led 43-25 at the end of three quarters.
Cherokee County hosts Piedmont on Thursday.
