A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday evening in Bessemer.
The incident happened at 5:50pm at 18th Avenue North and 15th Street North and according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office the victim was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:40p.m. Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the victim was a 63-year-old man. His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
Bessemer police are investigating.
