An active pattern continues across the continental US. As such, a storm system will enter our region early this week and will bring an increase in rain showers and thunderstorms starting Monday, January 1st.
More widespread thunderstorm potential is forecast on Tuesday ahead of an advancing cold front. Some of these storms could be strong to severe.
This system could also bring locally heavy rainfall into Wednesday morning.
