New Year’s Eve – Monday, January 2nd / What’s Open and What’s Closed?

Here is everything you need to know about what’s open and what’s closed on New Year’s Eve 2022.

US Post office – Open, mail will run Saturday, Dec. 31. Post offices are closed on Sunday and then again on Monday, Jan. 2 in recognition of the holiday. No mail will run.

Fed Ex, UPS – Some services will be limited. FedEx Freight, FedEx Ground and FedEx Ground Economy closed; UPS  delivering on a modified schedule.

Banks – Most banks are open on New Year’s Eve but check ahead for special hours.

Grocery stores – Most grocery stores will be open though some will be closing early.

Publix – Open regular hours, close 9 p.m.

Target  – 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Walmart  – regular hours

Restaurants

Most restaurants, including national chains like McDonald’s will be open New Year’s Eve.
