JACKSONVILLE – Ciana Smith rang for 12 points and Za’Niya Kyle contributed 10 points to lead the Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers to a 41-39 victory in the Jacksonville Christian Christmas Tournament on Friday.

Kylie Vadon tossed in seven points for the Lady Tigers. Janaya Higgins finished with five points.

Tracionna Jones scored a game-high 21 points for Gaston. Bella Holland had eight points.

Cedar Bluff trailed 6-5 at the end of the first quarter and 21-16 at halftime before rallying in the fourth quarter. They trailed 31-25 entering the fourth, but went on a 16-8 run for the final.

In Cedar Bluff’s tournament opener on Thursday, the Lady Tigers downed Wellborn 56-30.

Kyle came away with 21 points. Vadon delivered 16 points, including three 3-pointers. Smith and Higgins collected six points apiece. Hayden Cannon finished with five points.
