Bradley tosses in 24 in Gaylesville boys’ basketball tournament victory over Ider

GAYLESVILLE – Kyler Bradley connected on four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 24 points in leading the Gaylesville Trojans to a 64-54 victory over Ider in the Gaylesville Christmas Tournament on Friday.

Kuper Bradley contributed 16 points for the Trojans. Tanner Eads added 14 points and Collin Hendon had seven points.

Griffin Weldon topped Ider with 20 points. Cody Shirley rang for eight points. Zion Finnerty came away with seven points. Eli Palmer and Will Davis both finished with six points.

Gaylesville led throughout the game. The Trojans held a 15-12 advantage at the end of the first quarter and a 30-21 edge at halftime. Gaylesville extended its lead to 48-36 at the end of three quarters.

Girls

Pleasant Valley 58, Gaylesville 27

GAYLESVILLE – Macey Roper netted a game-high 23 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in leading the Pleasant Valley Lady Raiders to a 58-27 victory over Gaylesville in the Gaylesville Christmas Tournament on Friday.

Rebekah Gannaway added eight points for the Lady Raiders. Lilly Robinson connected on two treys and had six points. Haylie Lee and Alexa Cranmer both finished with five points.

Shonda Epps topped the Lady Trojans with 13 points. Laney Coker contributed eight points, including a pair of treys. Gracie Dawson finished with five points.

Pleasant Valley led throughout the game. The Lady Raiders held a 9-5 first-quarter advantage and a 32-14 edge at halftime. Their lead swelled to 51-22 at the end of three quarters.
