A Rainbow City man is facing a charge of Sexual Abuse of a Child under 12 years old.
Etowah County Sheriff Jonathon Horton says Destin Chace Tarrance, 31, was arrested Tuesday and charged with the felony. The accusation of abuse was reported to law enforcement and the Etowah County Department of Human Resources. It involved a child who was seven years old at the time of the incident.
Tarrance is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $100,000 cash bond. As a condition of bond, Tarrance was barred from the internet, smart phones, computers, and banned from unsupervised contact with anyone under 18 years old, with supervision through Etowah County Community Corrections.
