Chattooga County Hold Up Remains Under Investigation

Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader says that the investigation into an armed robbery at a Highway 48 convenience store just outside Summerville continues.

The sheriff says that area stores should be vigilant and on the lookout for suspicious activity.

According to the sheriff, the two men that robbed the Highway 48 convenience store were outside the store for around thirty minutes before the robbery.

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is working with several other law enforcement agencies in the area in the investigation.  According to the sheriff, two black males robbed the store at gunpoint.  One of the suspects held a gun, and the other had a backpack.  Only cash was taken during the robbery.

If anyone has any information about the incident that happened on December 10th, shortly before 10:00pm, they should contact the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, or Sheriff Schrader directly.
