2022 Rock Run Christmas Parade

The Rock Run Christmas Parade went off without any major issues. The weather was cooperative with mostly sunny skies but cool temperatures. Almost 300 units were lined up by parade time. The units lined up along the road behind the Rock Run Baptist Church extended to three fourths mile.

State Representative, Ginny Shaver, was the Parade’s Grand Marshall.

The Macon County, Alabama Sheriff’s department brought 8 units including motorcycles. Sheriff Andre Brunson  said his department drove three hours to participate. Sheriff Jeff Shaver had told him about the parade and invited him to bring his parade units to Rock Run.

The Shriners had several units to entertain everyone. Participants traveled from all over north Alabama and northwest Georgia to be in the Rock Run Parade. It has turned out to be among the largest Christmas Parades in Alabama. The smiles on the faces of the spectators indicated their approval. It was a great way for families to kickoff the Christmas Week.
