Cherokee County 50, Handley 46

CEDAR BLUFF – Jack Amos and Landon Caldwell both netted 12 points to lead the Cherokee County Warriors past Handley 50-46 in the Alabama ONE Cherokee Invitational on Saturday.

Jaden Wilson added 11 points for the Warriors. Jacob Cornejo finished with eight points.

Cannon Kyles led Handley with 12 points. Jamarius Haynes and Daquavian Slaughter both tossed in eight points. Devontae Higgins finished with five points.

Cherokee County led 11-7 at the end of the first quarter and 21-19 at halftime. The two teams were tied at 32 heading into the fourth quarter. The Warriors edge the Tigers in the fourth 18-14 for the final.

Cherokee County faces Sand Rock on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Handley takes on Spring Garden at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.

Sand Rock 63, Spring Garden 40

CEDAR BLUFF – Jacob StClair rang for 17 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and had seven assists in leading the Sand Rock Wildcats to a 63-40 victory over Spring Garden in the Alabama ONE Cherokee Invitational on Saturday.

Ben Dale delivered 13 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats. Kaden Justice scored 11 points, including a pair of treys and had six boards. Bradley Jackson finished with eight points and five rebounds.

John Welsh topped Spring Garden with 15 points. Jon Marq Rogers contributed eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Cam Welsh finished with five points.

Sand Rock led 17-13 at the end of the first quarter and 34-26 at halftime. The Wildcats pushed their lead to 51-31 after three quarters.

Bremen, Ga. 89, Gaylesville 68

CEDAR BLUFF – Cade Costanzo and Sully Senft sank five 3-pointers apiece in leading Bremen, Ga., to an 89-68 victory over Gaylesville in the Cherokee Invitational on Saturday.

Costanzo led all scorers with 33 points. Senft finished with 22 points.

Bo Bolton added 11 points for Bremen. Evan Brown and Carson Ballew finished with six and five points respectively.

Kyler Bradley delivered 32 points, including seven treys for the Trojans. JJ Yarbrough added 15 points, including four 3-pointers. Tanner Eads tallied eight points, including a pair of treys. Kuper Bradley finished with five points.

Bremen jumped out to a 29-10 advantage at the end of the first quarter and 44-30 at halftime. Gaylesville roared back to make it a seven-point game at 63-56 at the end of the third quarter, but Bremen went on a 26-12 run in the fourth for the final.

Cedar Bluff 73, Talladega County Central 57

CEDAR BLUFF – MJ Adams netted a game-high 28 points, including three 3-pointers, in leading the Cedar Bluff Tigers to a 73-57 victory over Talladega County Central in the Alabama ONE Cherokee Invitational on Saturday.

Bucky Leek, Caleb Tucker and Isaac Bishop each had seven points. Hunter Jenkins connected on two treys and finished with six points.

Jhovi Cole connected on a pair of treys and had 12 points to lead Talladega County Central. Patrick Dosius delivered 10 points. Thomas Gooden finished with six points.

Cedar Bluff jumped out to a 21-10 advantage at the end of the first quarter and led 38-15 at halftime. The Tigers took a 53-28 lead into the fourth quarter.

Cedar Bluff takes on Bremen, Ga., on Monday at 4:30 p.m. Talladega County Central faces Gaylesville at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
