Leadership Cherokee Adult Class Learns About History and Infrastructure of Cherokee County

“The Leadership Cherokee Adult Class met last Thursday to learn about history and the infrastructure of Cherokee County.  After the Chamber Monthly Breakfast we headed to Weiss Dam. Thank you Logan Bailey and Keith Daniel for the history, info and tour.   Next to Cherokee Electric Coop where Pam Dorsett toured us and we learned a lot about their service area, outages, road crews, linemen, and more.  We had a great lunch at Guppy’s Seafood Café, and afterwards visited the Cherokee County Historical Museum, and toured.  Thank you Martha Haney.

We spent about an hour at the Family Care Centre – and a big thank you to Brooke for sharing about the Thrift Store and Food Bank, and letting us help pack some boxes of food for next distribution.  Leadership Cherokee finished the day at R.L. Jennings for their ribbon cutting.”
