SPRING GARDEN – Jake Welsh collected a game-high 20 points to lead the Spring Garden Panthers to a 51-46 boys basketball win over Weaver on Monday.
Jon Marq Rogers added 10 points for the Panthers (2-2). John Welsh netted nine points and Connor Bates finished with eight points.
Tristan Brown topped Weaver with 19 points. Dawson Brooks came away with 13 points. Jeffrey Miles finished with six points.
Spring Garden jumped out to a 20-8 first-quarter advantage and led 32-19 at halftime. The Panthers held a 41-35 edge after three quarters.
Spring Garden hosts area rival Jacksonville Christian on Tuesday.
