Spring Garden’s Jason Howard was named the Class 1A, Region 6 Football Coach of the Year by his peers this week. Howard led the Panthers to a 10-2 record this past season.

Joining Howard from Spring Garden on the All-Region 6 Team is Chapel Pope, Cam Welsh, Connor Bates, John Welsh, Jacob Welsh, Reece Winstead, Matthias Williams and Tanner Ruark. Honorable mention players are Jacob Dempsey and Braxton Haney.

Wadley’s Jaquez Wilkes was selected as Offensive Most Valuable Player. Ragland’s Ethan Courtney was chosen as the Defensive MVP.

Joining Wilkes from Wadley (6-5) is Isacc Minnfield, Frisco Robertson, Ty Taylor, Mason Wilkerson and Cortavion Lynch. Honorable mention players are Jabari Burns and Jeremiah Overton.

Joining Courtney from Ragland (6-5) is Jordan Turner, Cade Mickler, Will Clark, DJ Turner, Ezra Hill, Tacorian Soles and Skylar Barber. Honorable mention players are Jagger Cox and Brayden Byars.

Representing Donoho (4-6) is Lucas Elliott, Logan Melton, Richard Goad, Marcus Lawler and Garret Ort. Jordan Cameron received honorable mention.

Chosen from Victory Christian (4-6) is Conner Denson, Drew Niblett, Caden Brunson and Shepard Sargent. Kaden Dixon and Asa Warren are honorable mention.

Deonte Smoot, Dequarious Truss and Kyler Griffin represent Winterboro (3-7). Tyreke Hampton and Kamareon Curry are honorable mention.

Jamier Duncan and Patrick Dosius were chosen from Talladega County Central (0-10). Jabari Mckenzie and Jhovi Cole are honorable mention.
