Gertrude Barnes age 86 of Cedar Bluff passed away Thursday November
17th at her residence.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday November 21st at Perry Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Derek Roberts officiating, burial will follow in
Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM
Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Brandon Gilmore, Derrick Barnes, Jason Barnes,
Donald Barnes, Kevin Barnes and Seth Miller. Honorary Pallbearer is
Gage Abernathy.
Survivors include special niece, Tammy Barnes and special nephews,
Eugene (Bonnie) Barnes, Phillip Barnes and Rodney Beal; special
friend, Gail Tidmore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Barnes; brothers, Ock
Hudgins, Arch Hudgins Jr., William Hudgins, Paul Hudgins and Jack
Hudgins; sisters, Gertrell Hudgins, Ozelle Johnson and Ruby Oakley.
Mrs. Barnes was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the
late James and Will Hudgins and was of the Baptist Faith.
