With the high school football season winding down, WEIS station manager Jerry Baker announced the 2022-23 broadcast schedule on Tuesday evening.

The football team of Trent Dickeson and Will Davis will continue as commentators for basketball. Varsity girls games begin at 6 p.m., immediately followed by varsity boys action.

The station’s coverage begins on Tuesday, Nov. 29 with Fort Payne at Cherokee County.

December’s schedule includes Gaylesville at Cedar Bluff on Dec. 6, Jacksonville at Cherokee County on Dec. 9, and Spring Garden at Sand Rock on Dec. 13. The month concludes with the Cherokee Invitational Dec. 16, 17 and 19 at Cedar Bluff.

The new year tips off Jan. 3 with Sand Rock at Collinsville. Three days later on Jan. 6, Sand Rock will be on the air again at Spring Garden, followed by Gaston at Gaylesville on Jan. 10, Piedmont at Cherokee County on Jan. 12, and Cedar Bluff at Gaylesville on Jan. 16.

WEIS will also broadcast the Cherokee County Tournament at the Gadsden State-Cherokee Arena on Jan. 19-21.

January concludes with Jacksonville Christian at Cedar Bluff on Jan. 24, Etowah at Cherokee County on Jan. 26, and Collinsville at Cedar Bluff on Jan. 31.

The regular season concludes with Handley at Spring Garden on Feb. 2.
