Police have captured all three men wanted for burglarizing a jewelry store.The first was captured Monday afternoon, the second around midnight and the third was stopped by an agency in another county.
Sgt. Jared Pell with Rainbow City police says it started Monday at 7 a.m. when a person saw the men loading up car after breaking into and stealing items from Riverside Jewelers on Whorton Bend Road. The witness called 911 and followed the suspects until Southside police spotted the vehicle and a chase ensued which ended at Cherry Street and Highway 77 when the suspects’ car crashed and the men ran into the woods.
A man hunt was conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies including a helicopter from ALEA, Calhoun County Sheriff Department, Glencoe PD, Rainbow City PD, Ohatchee PD, and Southside PD.
