Seventh-ranked Meek muscles past Cedar Bluff

ARLEY – Cedar Bluff’s football season came to an end Friday night in the first round of the state playoffs with a 46-6 setback at Class 1A, No. 7 Meek.

The home Tigers built a 22-0 halftime advantage. Aden Green accounted for the Cedar Bluff’s lone touchdown on a kickoff return in the second half.

With the win, Meek (11-0) advances to next Friday’s second round where it will host Pickens County (8-3). Cedar Bluff’s season ends at 4-7.
