Fall Festivities Calendar

Saturday, October 1st

๐ŸŽƒCity of Centre to host it’s annual fall festival along Main Street in downtown Centre on Saturday, October 1st. Enjoy a day of old-fashioned fun and festivities with arts and crafts, food vendors, vintage cars and tractors, horse and buggy rides, train rides, a petting zoo, and inflatables for the kids. See the creations of a balloon sculptor, and laugh out loud with ventriloquist David Turner & Friends. Have your camera ready for photos with beloved characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy, as well as Alvin and the Chipmunks. Live entertainment features What-a-Dance Studio at 8am with Logan Graves taking the main stage at 11am. The Kids Fun Run is set for 9:30am, followed by the annual fall fest parade at 10:30am with Boy Scout Troop 247 serving as grand marshal. Saturday October 8th

๐ŸŽƒGadsden Parks and Recreation presents Trick-or-Treat at Noccalula Falls Park Saturday, October 8th, from 10am to 2pm. $6 for adults, $4 for kids ages 4 to 12 (3 and under are free). The first 750 kids get a free bag! There will be treats, Big Sam the Balloon Man, food vendors and more! Season passes not valid for special events. The park is open until 5pm. ๐ŸŽƒJoin us in Piedmont Alabama October 8th from 11am to 7pm for our annual Pumpkin Festival and Bicycle Show. We will have live music, food trucks, bicycle parts vendors, arts & crafts vendors and much more. Located in Optimist Park in downtown Piedmont on the Chief Ladiga Trail at the corner of Main Street and Ladiga Street behind the big gray building.

Saturday, October 15th

๐ŸŽƒThe City of Attalla’s Heritage Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th, from 9am to 5pm with free admission. There will be something for everyone to enjoy in Historic Downtown Attalla. This is a rain or shine event. There will be rides for all ages, toxic drop, rock wall, train ride, and inflatables. An open car show is set for 9am until 3pm with a $20 entry fee; registration is from 8am until 12pm; contact Frankie Riddlespur at 256-543-2080. Two stages of live music will feature performances by Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble, II Da Maxx, Jeremy Noble, Finley River Boys, and Kings of Swing. Thursday, October 20th

๐ŸŽƒWe look forward to seeing everyone at the Trunk-or-Treat with the Southside Police and Fire Department. Wear your favorite Halloween costume. The “Trunk or Treat” event is on Thursday, October 20, from 4:30 to 8pm at City Hall, 2255 Highway 77 in Southside. The free event will feature candy, treats, food trucks, and activities for kids. “Trunk or Treat” is a safe way for the children in the community to trick or treat. Saturday, October 22nd

๐ŸŽƒHalloween Hayride sponsored by Friends of Sloppy Floyd Park is set for October 22nd, 23rd, 29th, and 30th, from 12pm to 5pm ET at James H. “Sloppy” Floyd State Park in Summerville, Georgia. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 5 to 12 years old, and free for children age 4 and under. $5 park pass required.

๐ŸŽƒThe Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Fall Festival is set for October 22nd from 2pm until 6pm. There will be a meal for everyone, cake walk, face painting, games for the young and older, arts and crafts, candy for kids, a bouncy house and entertainment. ๐ŸŽƒThe Mt Vernon Baptist Church Fall Festival is set for Saturday, October 22, 5 until 7pm with lots of candy, pumpkins, games, food, crafts, and more at 4370 County Road 822, Collinsville, AL.

๐ŸŽƒA Fall Festival will be held at Barrett’s Chapel CH Church at 440 County Road 77 in Gaylesville on October 22nd, from 5pm to 9pm. There will be a chili cook-off, hotdogs, s’mores, a cupcake walk, a cake auction, games, a hayride, and a bonfire.

๐ŸŽƒThe Gaylesville Volunteer Fire Department will be having Haunted Hayrides on October 22nd and October 29th from 6pm till 9pm. $2 per person; waiver must be signed.

Sunday, October 23rd

๐ŸŽƒShady Grove Baptist Church is hosting a Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 23rd, from 4pm to 6pm at the church, located at 6360 County Road 5 in Leesburg.

Saturday, October 29th

๐ŸŽƒSummerville Main Street and Summerville Trion Optimist Club will host the Candy Walk on Saturday, October 29th on the East Washington Street Scape. Events will include the Pumpkin Palooza with costume contest, vendors, and pumpkin derby from 10am-2pm and Candy Walk is 11am to 1pm ET.

๐ŸŽƒThere will be a Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 29th, at 12pm at Pine View Crossing Apartments across from Jack’s Restaurant in Centre (1052 Bay Springs Road). There will be lots of candy, games, a hayride, and face painting.

๐ŸŽƒSlackland Baptist Church, located at 75 County Road 20 in Leesburg, invites everyone to visit the “Hallow-lujah Trail” on Saturday, October 29th, from 2 to 4pm. Bring your children to meet Adam and Eve, Noah, Jonah, David and Goliath, the Apostle Peter, the boy with five loaves and two fish, the woman caught in sin, and the Resurrected Jesus. We will have snacks while you wait, and each Bible character will have special candy to give out to the children.

๐ŸŽƒThere will be a Trunk or Treat at Mt. Olive Methodist Church on Saturday, October 29th, from 3pm to 5pm. Everybody is welcome!

๐ŸŽƒFull Gospel Baptist Church on Sherry Drive in Centre will have their Fall Festival on Saturday, October 29th, beginning at 4pm. Everyone is invited to join them for food, hayrides, games, and more!

๐ŸŽƒCalcendonia Baptist Church in Centre will have a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 29th, starting at 5pm.

๐ŸŽƒThe City of Centre presents the 1st Annual Uptown Police & Fire Departments Community Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 29th, from 5pm to 7pm on East Main Street in Centre. Main Street will be shut down from the Cherokee County Courthouse to Iris Drive. There will be inflatables, free candy for the kids, and children can touch a truck. We encourage all churches, businesses and organizations to join. For more information, call 256-619-0372.

๐ŸŽƒThe kids will have a spooktacular time at the Trunk or Treat & Halloween Bash, sponsored by the Town of Leesburg, on Saturday, October 29th, from 5pm to 7pm at Leesburg Landing on Riverside Street in Leesburg. Bring a trunk full of candy and treat the little goblins. There will be free hot dogs, hayrides, and inflatables. Call Susan at the Town Hall with any questions at 256-526-8890.

๐ŸŽƒPine Grove Baptist Church will be holding a Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 30th from 5pm to 7pm. It will feature decorated cars filled with candy, corn hole, hot dogs, and inflatables! Monday, October 31st

๐ŸŽƒCherokee County Health & Rehab Center will have Trick or Treating from 4pm to 5:30pm on Halloween at 877 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre.

๐ŸŽƒCity of Piedmont: Spooky season is just around the corner so make plans to visit The City of Piedmont’s Annual Downtown Trick or Treat event Monday, October 31st, from 4pm to 6pm.

๐ŸŽƒFirst Baptist Church of Cedartown’s Trunk or Treat is set for Monday, October 31st at 5pm ET in the church parking lot. We need candy for this event. If you would like to help, please bring bags of individual wrapped candy to the Church Office by October 29th. If you are interested in decorating a vehicle, call the church office & sign up!

๐ŸŽƒ A Fall Festival is scheduled for Monday, October 31st, from 5pm to 6:30pm at Tates Chapel Baptist Church, located at 2760 County Road 26 in Centre. There will be food, fun, and fellowship.

๐ŸŽƒA Free Trunk or Treat with treats and inflatables will be held Monday, October 31st from 5pm to 7pm at East Centre Baptist Church, 1220 East Main Street in Centre. For more info, call 256-927-5392.

๐ŸŽƒThe 17th Annual Trunk-or-Treat in the Park hosted by the Town of Cedar Bluff will be held Monday, October 31st from 5pm to 9pm in the Cedar Bluff Town Park. There will be an inflatable slide and haunted hayrides. 20th Century Club will have concessions available; all proceeds will go toward the expense of this event.

๐ŸŽƒBring your kids to Trick or Treat at Mt. Weisner Fire Department from 6pm to 8pm on Halloween Night. We will be handing out hotdogs as well. We canโ€™t wait to see all the kiddos there!

๐ŸŽƒThere will be a Fall Festival held on Saturday, November 5th, from 9am to 3pm ET in historic downtown Cedartown, Georgia. The Sanctioned Shriners Parade will begin at 10am ET and from 11am to 2pm ET will be the Dixie Ramblers. Free admission, art, craft, and food vendors. The event is sponsored by the Downtown Cedartown Association.
