A single vehicle accident was reported at 1:27 p.m. today (Saturday) on Alabama highway 273 south of Blanche near Liberty Church. According to the report, the vehicle caught fire after it went out of control and run off the roadway. Passing motorists assisted the two occupants in getting out of the vehicle. Both received injuries and were transported by Floyd EMS to local hospitals for treatment. Broomtown Fire responded to scene with assistance from Gaylesville Fire.
