Lea earns 1,000th career assist, Garmany 600th career kill in Cherokee County volleyball win over Etowah

CENTRE – Freshman setter Macy Lea earned his 1,000th career assist and senior outside hitter Ella Garmany posted her 600th career kill in Cherokee County High School’s 25-21, 25-15, 23-25, 25-19 area volleyball win over Etowah on Tuesday.

For the match, Lea had 25 assists and a dig for the Lady Warriors (23-23). Garmany gained 13 kills, two aces, a block and an assist.

Nevaeh Gaidurgis contributed 12 kills, a block and a dig. Vivian Connell and Raegan Garmany both managed four kills. Connell also added two blocks and an assist. Raegan Garmany also had two blocks. Libby Curry collected three kills and three aces. Ellisan Givens came away with 11 digs, a kill and an ace. Karlee Jolly delivered with seven digs, a kill and an ace. Emilee Paul finished with six digs, an ace and an assist.

Cherokee County hosts Weaver and Gaylesville on Thursday.
