Noccalula Falls Park Temporarily Closed For Construction

Due to the ongoing construction of new train tracks, Noccalula Falls Park is closed for nearly two weeks.

The park will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 8, for the Trick or Treat village from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. which will take place without the trains.

The temporary closure will only affect the paid portion of the park, and the following areas will remain open: Black Creek Trails (which includes access to the gorge trail from the Black Creek Trails), the overlook to view Noccalula Falls, the playground area, Nocculula Falls Campground, and the rental pavilions,.

The mini golf course will remain open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through the end of October.  The City of Gadsden has invested more than $1 million for two new electric trains, which travel on a one-mile ride throughout the Park.

The new trains are expected to be on track and running for the opening nigh of Christmas at the Falls on Nov. 24.
