Firefighters from a number of different departments were dispatched to a report of a structure fire on Alabama Highway 273 near Yellow Creek around 9:00am Thursday.
They arrived to find that structure already fully involved and the road at the location had to be shut down – due to fire hoses being stretched across the roadway from the nearest hydrant.
Fire departments responding to the scene included Leesburg, Cedar Bluff, Gaylesvlle, Centre, Tucker’s Chapel, Spring Creek, Dogtown, Collinsville, and Broomtown.
We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
