Lady Warriors win silver bracket at Donoho Volleyball Classic

ANNISTON – Cherokee County went 3-2 to win the silver bracket in the Donoho Volleyball Classic on Saturday.

The Lady Warriors defeated Ranburne in pool play, then beat Westminster of Oak Mountain in the silver bracket semifinals and Faith Christian in the bracket final.

Macy Lea accumulated 81 assists, seven digs and an ace for the day. Raegan Garmany contributed seven kills, three digs, two blocks and an assist. Ava Haygood had 18 digs, three kills and an assist. Vivian Connell collected 11 kills, five blocks and two digs.

Ella Garmany posted 35 kills, 31 digs, four aces, three blocks and an assist. Aubrie Abernathy added five aces and two digs. Libby Curry came away with eight kills, five digs and an ace. Emilee Paul managed 26 digs, six aces and a pair of assists. Ellisan Givens delivered 41 digs, five aces and an assist. Nevaeh Gaidurgis collected 32 kills, four blocks, two digs and two assists. Karlee Jolly finished with 29 digs.

Cherokee County travels to Sand Rock on Monday at 5 p.m.
