Lady Warriors go 3-0 in White Plains Volleyball Invitational

WHITE PLAINS — The Cherokee County Lady Warriors went 3-0 in the White Plains Volleyball Invitational on Saturday.

They defeated Cedar Bluff 25-20, 25-22, 24-26 and 25-18. Cherokee County then dispatched host White Plains 25-20, 25-14, then ended the day with a 25-20, 23-25, 15-11 win over Wellborn.

In the win over Cedar Bluff, Ella Garmany accumulated 15 kills, an ace, a block, an assist and 15 digs. Nevaeh Gaidurgis contributed six kills, two blocks and five digs. Ellisan Givens added 17 digs, two aces and an assist. Macy Lea collected 30 assists, two aces, two kills, nine digs and a block. Vivian Connell collected six kills, three digs and a block. Raegan Garmany finished with six kills, two blocks and four digs. Karlee Jolly posted 11 digs.

In the win over White Plains, Ella Garmany accounted for six kills, two aces, two blocks and six digs. Gaidurgis added two kills, a block, and two digs. Givens posted 12 digs and two aces. Lea came away with 14 assists and three aces. Connell had 4 kills, and Curry delivered three kills and two aces.

Against Wellborn, Ella Garmany came away with four kills, four aces, two blocks and five digs. Gaidurgis posted 11 kills, an ace and a dig. Givens had six digs. Lea added 27 assists, three aces and four digs. Connell contributed eight kills, four blocks and an assist. Raegan Garmany had four kills and a dig. Emilee Paul and Jolly both finished with nine digs.

The wins improved Cherokee County’s record to 7-5 on the season.
