Mrs. Gussie Ray Gamble – age 88 of Gaylesville – passed away on Tuesday August
16th at Cherokee County Health & Rehab.

Graveside services will be 1 PM Friday at Union Hill (Needmore) Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Koonce officiating.

Pallbearers include Billy Ray, Jessie Ray, Billy Bentley, Jeff Bullen, Steve Ray and Doug Ray.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Chip Allgood, Joshua Crane and Larry Ray.

Survivors include sons, Rondy Gamble, Tim (Lisa) Gamble and Jeff (Laura “Sally”) Gamble; daughter, Kay Gamble; brother, Jim Frank Ray; two grandchildren, Rhonda (Tim) Grace and Steven Rich; three great-grandchildren, Magen Rich, Addie Martin and Lily Martin; special friends, Ellen Ray, Clara Allen and Nell Speer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dillard Gamble; brother, Paul Ray; sisters, Mae Jackson, Vera Bentley, Nora Edith Dean and June Chadwick.

Mrs. Gamble was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Ben H. and Martha Elizabeth Speer Ray and was of the Methodist Faith.

Flowers can be delivered to the Cemetery or donations may be made to the Union Hill (Needmore) Cemetery Fund.
