Two Northwest Georgia Men Arrested in Wake of Shooting Incident

On Sunday, July 31st just after midnight Summerville Police officers were dispatched to 44 McGinnis Circle in reference to shots having been fired from a vehicle, with the vehicle then fleeing the scene.

Police say that during the initial investigation officers were able to obtain the vehicle description and the identities of the driver and the shooter.  A witness identified the driver as Tristan Lively, and the shooter as Sean Sammons as the shooter.   Officers quickly learned that the two men were in the Menlo area, and they were able to pick both up for questioning.  Deputies also were able to recover – from inside that vehicle – the gun used in the shooting incident.  Lively and Sammons each charged with six counts of aggravated assault, a count each of possession of a firearm during commission of a crime. and a count of discharging a firearm near a roadway.  Police say, fortunately, there was no one injured as a result of the shooting.
