Just before 9:00am Monday units from the McCords Crossroads fire department were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire at the 411 Scrap Yard.
They arrived to find a vehicle and several mounds of scrap ablaze and they were able to quickly bring the fire under control.
Fortunately it seems that no one was hurt and the cause of the fire currently remains under investigation.
