The Cherokee County Commission received money from the Rebuild Alabama Tax money to resurface county road 70 which leads up to Cherokee Rock Village Park.
It has been needing upgrading for many years and finally with the help of State Representative Ginny Shaver with Governor Kay Ivey the funds were made available.
At this time we do not have a time line for completion but for now, even with construction underway, the first mile of roadway is already much smoother to drive.
