Authorities arrested a Cherokee County resident on drug charges early Tuesday.
Andre McCowan, 49 of Centre, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts) – the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Attempting to Elude and Resisting Arrest. He was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center at 3:40am.
Centre Police made the arrest.
