The Cherokee County Chamber had a great time kicking off the “Battle of the Border” fishing tournament, which is being hosted on beautiful Weiss Lake.
Senator Andrew Jones, a native of Cherokee County was very happy to bring a $3,900 legislative tourism grant check to help fund the event – which brings fishermen from all over Alabama and Georgia to Weiss Lake to compete.
