CENTRE – The 2022 Cherokee County Country Club Senior (50+) Invitational will be held on July 16 beginning at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. The entry fee is $60 per person.
Kurt Duryea is the defending champion. Duryea won the 2021 title with a 2-under par 69 in 2021.
The following weekend, players from the tri-state area will tee it up in the annual Dub Ellis Invitational Golf Tournament held on July 23-24. The entry fee of $125 includes tournament, cart fee and a practice round. Saturday tee times can be scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday’s pairings and tee times will be announced after flighting the field on Saturday.
Billy McCroskey topped the field in 2021 with back-to-back rounds of 74.
In both tournaments, men 59 and below play from the white tees. Ages 60-69 use the gold tees and those age 70+ hit from the red tee markers.

Cash prizes will be awarded in both tournaments.
