The National Weather Service says triple-digit temps are likely this week, with 98 for a high on Tuesday – 100 and above for the remainder of the week.
Humidity levels will be creeping up as well, and record temperatures may well make it a miserable week after Wednesday. Unfortunately, there won’t be much relief at night, either, with lows only expected to fall into the 70’s. An area of high pressure is helping to crank up the heat levels this week and they will keep rain chances on the low side for the next few days.
The National Weather Service will likely need to issue heat advisories for parts of the state, as the combination of heat and humidity reaches concerning levels.
