Isolated severe storms will be possible in parts of Alabama today, and tomorrow; the Storm Prediction Center has a Level 1 out of 5 (or Marginal) risk for severe weather for parts of eastern Alabama today (Tuesday, June 14th); not everyone will see rain – however with the intense heat and high humidity expected today those storms could intensify quickly and become severe.
The strongest could have wind gusts capable of toppling trees and power lines, along with hail, a great deal of lightning and heavy rain.
More of Alabama could have to deal with isolated severe storms on Wednesday. The storms could also have damaging wind gusts, hail and heavy rain. The best time for a heavy rainstorm will again be during the afternoon hours.
Isolated to scattered rain and storms will be possible for the rest of the week as well, but so far there is no organized severe weather risk for Alabama after Wednesday.
