In tonight’s meeting of the Cedar Bluff Town Council, it was approved for the modification of the Cedar Bluff Park to do an overhaul on the basketball court, as well as expand it.
The court will grow in size from 50’x50′ to 70’x50′ and get a major face lift. It will also include benches around the court, as bleachers were not approved due to insurance reasons.
$6,500 had been previously raised for this project and the town council voted on donating the final $1,000 to get the project underway. Any additional funds contributed to the project will be used for upkeep of the court.
There was also a monument approved to be constructed in honor of Sgt. Chris Vaughn.
