Reports have now been released regarding a “road rage” incident recently occurring in Chattooga County, Georgia.

The matter, which took place last Sunday, June 5th, ended with an Alabama teenager being arrested for discharging a firearm at a passing vehicle.

A call came into Chattooga 9-1-1 from a driver who said he and a 13 year old juvenile were driving into Georgia from Cherokee County, Alabama when a truck passed them near the state line on Highway 114.  The vehicle passed in front of them, then slowed down.  The complainant stated he then passed the truck and as he went by the driver brandished a pistol and then fired three shots in his direction.  Deputies soon located the suspect identified as 19 year old Dave Andrew Bankston of Collinsville – who said the other vehicle had cut him off.  He admitted to having a gun, but said he didn’t point it or fire it.   However deputies found two spent casings in the vehicle.
