President Biden’s Approval Rating Hits New Low

President Joe Biden’s approval rating has dropped to a new low; that, according to a poll by Morning Consult/Politico.

That poll, conducted June 4th and 5th, showed 39% approve of the job Biden is doing compared to 58% that disapproved; the figures mark the lowest approval rating and the highest disapproval rating, in the 62 weekly surveys being conducted since Biden took office.  Biden’s numbers are below those of President Donald Trump at the same time four years ago, when 45% approved and 52% disapproved.

Overall, 80% of Democrats said they approve of the job that Biden is doing, although only 37% said they “strongly approved” of how he was handling his position; seventy percent of Republicans disapprove of Biden’s job performance and just 4% approved of Biden’s performance.  That poll was conducted among 2,006 registered U.S. voters with a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
