Turner McCall Boulevard, between East 12th Street and East 8th Street in Rome, was closed down for approximately two hours Monday morning following a fatal accident involving a pedestrian. The incident occurred shortly after 7:00 Georgia time.
According to Rome Police, 40-year-old Cedric Floyd, appears to have crossed the east side of Turner McCall, walking along the opposite side of the road. Floyd reportedly ran out in front of a Ford F-150 – and he was pinned underneath the truck and died.
The investigation into the matter continues by the Rome Police Department.
