“Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned,” / Piedmont Woman Drives Commercial Truck into Mobile Home Following Argument

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,” comes to mind after reports of a woman in Piedmont driving a truck into the front of a mobile home following an argument with her boyfriend on Memorial Day morning.

According to a news release from Piedmont Police Chieft Nathan Johnson, 56 year old Rhonda D. Young of Piedmont was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and two counts of Attempted Assault 1st Degree after driving an International Commercial Truck into the home at 600 Piedmont Cutoff Road.

A domestic argument apparently led to the incident with the male victim being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.  Meanwhile, the other two occupants of the home were uninjured, but were in great danger of harm during the event.

Chief Johnson said this is an ongoing investigation and that no other information will be released at this time.
