Troopers Respond to Accidents in Cherokee and DeKalb Counties on Monday

State Troopers responded to a single-vehicle accident occurring in Cherokee County on Monday morning.

According to trooper reports that wreck took place around 10:00am on Highway 278 at mile marker 155, and involved a 2009 Toyota, being driven by a female resident of Cedartown, Georgia; fortunately no one was hurt in the mishap.

Troopers also worked a two-vehicle wreck involving one injury around 7:30 Monday morning in DeKalb County,  That wreck took place on County Road 27 and involved a 2015 Mazda being driven by a male resident of Ft Payne and a 2011 Toyota driven by a female resident of Sylvania. 

The driver of the Toyota was transported to an area hospital for treatment, while the driver of the Mazda was unhurt.

Both wrecks remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
