Summer Continuing Education offerings at Gadsden State
ACT Prep Courses
Gadsden, Ala. – Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Program is offering ACT preparation courses covering four core subjects – English, reading, math and science. Classes will meet at the Cardinal Tutoring Center located in Allen Hall on the Wallace Drive Campus. The session dates, times and course offerings are as follows:
June 7, 5 – 7 p.m. English and reading
June 9, 5 – 7 p.m. Math and science
June 10, 12 – 4 p.m. (English, reading, math and science)
July 5, 5 – 7 p.m. English and reading
July 7, 5 – 7 p.m. Math and science
July 8, 12– 4 p.m. (English, reading, math and science)
Students can register for the session(s) of their choice. Registration cost is $60 for Tuesday or Thursday sessions and $99 for Friday sessions including four hours of instruction for all core subjects. Once a student registers, a confirmation email will be sent containing instructions and items needed for the class.

Learn to stretch, flex and keep your balance
Gadsden, Ala. – Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Program is offering a six-week class for adults—Stretch, Flex and Balance—from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday beginning June 7 through July 12 at Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus. The class will consist of working the overall body with the goal of increasing or sustaining flexibility, strength, mobility and balance–key components to preserving overall mental and physical health. Learn to Tap Dance
Gadsden, Ala. – Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Program is offering an open level adult tap dance class for anyone interested in learning to tap dance or maintaining their dance skills. The adult tap dance class will be from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. each Wednesday June 8 through July 13 at Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center on the Wallace Drive Campus. The class is designed to provide a fun way to exercise for all participants while introducing tap to the beginner and offering a refresher for the intermediate or experienced dancer. Registration cost is $80. Pre-registration is required.

Drivers Education course at Gadsden State
Gadsden, Ala. – Gadsden State Community College’s Continuing Education Program is offering four sessions of summer driver’s education classes on three of its campuses. The initial class meeting for each session will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the first day of class. At that time, students will receive instruction for Google Classroom and schedule driving times for the three additional 2-hour classes that will meet to complete the four-day session.
Students must attend all four classes in a session to receive credit for the course. Masks will be required while in the driver’s education car. The course is $175 per student, per session and pre-registration is required. Class size is limited to nine students.
