Country music legends Alabama recently announced the upcoming Fan Appreciation Week schedule, for June 16th through the 19th.  Those include:

• Teddy Gentry’s “Singing with the Stars” Talent Contest, which benefits the DeKalb County Children’s Advocacy Center will be held on June 16th beginning at 7:00pm at Northeast Alabama Community College.  To purchase your tickets in advance call (256) 997-9700 or purchase will be available at the door.
• The Fans Songwriters Showcase Spectacular – which will feature some of the biggest songwriters around will be at Northeast Alabama Community College, June 17th, starting at 7:00pm; tickets can be obtained from the NACC website at www.nacc.edu  All proceeds will benefit the June Jam Foundation.  
• A Fan Appreciation Concert, exclusively for prepaid members of the Alabama Fan Club, will be held on June 18th.  All Proceeds benefit the Alabama Fan Club and Museum.  Call (256) 845-1646 to purchase tickets.  Be sure to have your membership number available. 
• Weather permitting, Fan Appreciation Day concludes on June 19th at Randy Owens “Pandemonium at the Farm”.  That event is located at 553 Randy Owen Drive NE, in Fort Payne.  Gates will open at 10:00am with lunch being served at 11:00.  A $2 donation to St Jude is greatly appreciated.  

Alabama hosted the first June Jam back in 1981 and Fan Appreciation Week replaced the June Jam in 1997 – with fans showing up to celebrate the band’s longtime success in country music. 

Alabama has had 21 straight chart-topping hits, a long run of number one albums, and hundreds of industry awards, including numerous Grammys – selling 73 million albums along the way.  Alabama still continues to tour across the United States.
