ALBERTVILLE – Six area softball teams will be competing at the East Central Regional in Albertville, beginning Tuesday with classes 3A and 4A.

In Class 3A, Piedmont takes on Sylvania at 11 a.m. Tuesday, followed by Class 4A Cherokee County battling Westminster Christian at 12:45 p.m.

Winners bracket games are scheduled for 5 p.m. Class 3A losers bracket games are at 3 p.m., and Class 4A losers bracket games are at 5 p.m. Play continues into Wednesday.

Classes 1A and 2A begin tournament play on Thursday and conclude on Friday. Area teams include Class 1A Cedar Bluff, Class 1A Gaylesville, Class 2A Sand Rock, and Class 2A Spring Garden.
