Cedar Bluff boys finish second in Class 1A, Section 4 track meet in Scottsboro

SCOTTSBORO – The Cedar Bluff Tiger boys track and field team took second in the Class 1A, Section 4 meet in Scottsboro on Friday and Saturday. They earned a total of 194 points to finish runner-up to Lindsay Lane, which tallied 215 points. Donoho finished third with 63 points.

The Lady Tigers earned fourth place following a total of 60 points. Donoho won the girls meet with 149 points, followed by Lindsay Lane (128) and Cornerstone (92).

In the boys events, Aden Green led the Tigers with first-place finishes in the long jump (18-11.75) and the high jump (5-06.00). He also placed second in the javelin (130-1) and was eighth in the 400 meter (59.33).

Dylan Kinard came in first in the javelin (132-6). He also earned second in the discus (101-6) and shot put (38-8.5).

Michael Adams earned first place in the triple jump (38-2). He was also sixth in the 400 meter (57.46). Austin Kilpatrick claimed first in the pole vault (9-0).

Nick Clifton came in second in the 200 meter (24.00). He was also third in the 100 meter (11.52) and third in the discus (96-11).

Bucky Leek earned second in the triple jump (35-0). He was also eighth in the 100 meter (12.21) and ninth in the long jump (16-9.5).

Kade Browning came in second in the 100 meter (11.46). He was also third in the 200 meter (24.09).

Artie Duval delivered a third-place performance in the shot put (38-2). He was also fourth in both the 200 meter (24.34) and the 400 meter (56.17).

Austin Richardson took third in both the 800 meter (2:14.64) and the 1600 meter (5:03.36). Bryann Kinsey also came in third in the triple jump (32-11) and ninth in the 300 meter hurdles (53.61).

Carter Dillingham finished fourth in both the shot put (36-10) and discus (95-8). He was also eighth in the javelin (107-8).

Cody Bias took fifth in the 300 meter hurdles (51.25). He was also 13th in the 1600 meter (6:28.97).

Zyrese Wynn was sixth in the 3200 meter (12:33.06). He was also 11th in the 1600 meter (5:42.68).

Caleb O’Neal earned 10th in the 300 meter hurdles (53.80).

In the track events, the Tiger boys team of Leek, Browning, Adams and Clifton took first in the 4×100 (45.49). The 4×400 team of Richardson, Adams, Bias and Duval came in second in the 4×400 (3:53.06). The 4×800 team of Wynn, Bias, Xander Owens and O’Neal finished fourth in the 4×800 (10:40.61).

Skye Jordan led the Lady Tigers with a first-place finish in the 200 meter (28.49). She was also second in the 400meter (1:05.11) and fourth in the long jump (13-2).

Cassandra Davis came in second in the long jump (14-1.25). She was also eighth in the 200 meter (32.07).

Raven Cail came in fourth in the 1600 meter (6:47.09). She was also sixth in the 800 meter (2:59.05) and seventh in the javelin (51-8).

Caitlyn Sherrod finished fifth in the 1600 meter (7:44.65). She was also sixth in the javelin (57-6) and seventh in the 800 meter (3:14.1).

Cassandra Davis was eighth in the 800 meter (3:29.05) and Monica Taylor took 11th in the 400 meter (1:35.85).

The 4×400 team of Cail, Davis, Jordan and Kylie Vadon earned second place with a time of 5:00.77.
