Softball’s postseason is about to begin, with area tournaments scattered across the state.
Cherokee County begins play in the Class 4A, Area Tournament on Friday at White Plains. The Lady Warriors open play against Jacksonville at 4 p.m., with the winner taking on White Plains at 6 p.m. Play continues on Saturday at 10 a.m., with the area championship game set for noon (2 p.m. if necessary).
Class 1A Cedar Bluff, Class 2A Spring Garden and Class 3A Piedmont are hosting their respective area tournaments next Tuesday and Thursday. Class 3A Collinsville is at Geraldine on Monday and Tuesday.
