Man “Sought for Questioning” by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Jailed Monday Night

The Cherokee County man who was being sought for questioning in connection with a recent murder case, is now behind bars (Tuesday, April 26th).

Nicholas Silvers, 39, a resident of Gaylesville – was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center at around 10:35 Monday night on a Burglary 3rd Degree charge; he was described as a “person of interest” in a news release issued by Sheriff Jeff Shaver on April 21st (2022).

Meanwhile Eric Hooper, 28 of Centre stands charged with Murder, and also Receiving Stolen Property 3rd Degree; according to Chief Deputy Josh Summerford Hooper was extradited from Polk County, Georgia, and placed in the Cherokee County Detention Center on Thursday, April 14th – where he remains on bond of $1,500,000.

He is charged in connection with the homicide of 40 year old Lachancey Williams of a Cedartown, Georgia address.  Williams body was found in a tool box, by crews which were doing road work in Polk County, along Eason Hill Road, back on March 15th. gry hazardowe ustawa
